Leslee Smith joined Bristol Flyers ahead of the 2022/23 season.
The British Virgin Islands International, who first joined the Flyers in 2016, is back for a second stint with the club on a first one-year contract.
Smith made 55 appearances for the Flyers between 2016 and 2018, where he averaged 11 points and seven rebounds per game.
He was a key part of the Flyers side that reached the BBL play-off semi-final in 2018, before brief stints elsewhere in the league with Sheffield Sharks and Plymouth Raiders.
“I really enjoyed my two years at Bristol – it was probably the best time of my professional career, so having this opportunity to come back was a no-brainer for me,” Smith said.
“I didn’t like how my career came to a halt with the COVID pandemic, so I wanted to come back to a team that I would be comfortable with.
“Bristol feels like home – we’ve done a lot of great things in my two years with the Flyers, so being able to come back and pick up where I left off is something I’m really looking forward to.”
Smith becomes the sixth player to sign with the Bristol Flyers for the 2022/23 season, joining Mike Miller, Malcolm Delpeche, Tevin Olison, Thomas Bell and Brandon Mahan.
Flyers head coach Andreas Kapoulas added: “We are very pleased to welcome Leslee back for a second stint with the club. We talked during the recruiting process and just felt like it was the right time for both parties.
“Leslee has been working hard this summer to make up for lost time and get in shape for the season. You can really feel how determined and focused he is to help the team perform at their best.
“He will have a huge impact on our frontcourt with his experience, skills and versatility.”
