Anuel AA becomes sponsor of Puerto Rico women’s basketball league

Fans will see a new design element on the National Women’s Basketball Superior League game uniforms in Puerto Rico when tuning in to their upcoming games. Anuel AA has announced that he has officially become the main sponsor of the women’s league, in which the players’ uniforms will now feature his widely known phrase and the title of his debut album “Real Hasta La Muerte”.

“I am very happy to be able to help the development of women’s basketball in Puerto Rico,” Anuel said in a press release. “We have a lot of talent in the country who need support, and I am more than proud to be part of it and to continue the legacy of this league which even went to the Olympics this year. We are very proud of them and of the many victories to come.

Earlier this summer, it was announced that Anuel had become an investor in local basketball by becoming the owner of the Capitanes de Arecibo of Puerto Rico’s National Superior Basketball League (BSN). “We will do everything in our power and strength to take this team further, to other levels, and for BSN to continue to grow,” Anuel said in an earlier statement. He would have become the second Puerto Rican music personality to buy a BSN team. Bad Bunny acquired Santurce Cangrejeros last May.

It won’t be long before league fans see the new additions to their uniform designs and ultimately enjoy the games. After a hiatus of more than a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, basketball league games will begin on Saturday, September 4.
